In association with Taree Race Club and the cooperation of Racing NSW, "THE OXLEY ISLAND THOROUGHBREDS TWO YEAR OLD OPEN 1000" for two year olds resulting from a 2015 mating will be held at Taree around Golden Slipper time in 2019. If this race is won by the progeny of either DIRECT CHARGE or POLARMORE, the winning owners will receive a $100,000 bonus! This exciting new race offers breeders the chance to compete for possibly the highest prize money on offer for two year olds in Country Racing. This is sure to see the challenge taken up by many owners and trainers and make it a hotly contested race.
