Danesiri was being prepared for a Group 1 tilt in the Coolmore Classic (1500m) however heat was found in a tendon following the mare’s trackwork on Tuesday morning.

The mare had commenced her latest autumn campaign in career best form with a second in the Group 3 Triscay Stakes (1200m) followed by victory in the Group 3 Guy Walter Stakes (1400m) at Warwick Farm last start.

Now a rising seven-year-old, broodmare duties beckon for the daughter of Home On The Grange in the spring.

From 37 career starts, Danesiri recorded seven wins and 11 minor placings with earnings of approximately $250,000.

Initially trained by Wayne Wilkes at Port Macquarie, Danesiri arrived at the John Thompson stable following a five start spring campaign which included a minor placing in the Group 3 Angst Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.

Danesiri’s absence leaves Thompson without a Plan B for the Group 1 feature at Rosehill on Saturday where stablemate First Seal.
