At Home With That Winning Feeling

Alot Like Home is making the winner's circle feel a lot like home as he backed up his last start win at Taree with another victory at Coffs Harbour in the Ted Russell Memorial Class 1 Handicap over 1350m.

The John McLachlan trained gelding was clean away with Scott Thurlow again in the saddle and settled in a similar position tucked in behind the leaders. When they went around the turn the gaps came and Alot Like Home was again impressive in running clear to score his second victory in five starts.

"It was great to see him win like that again," said co-owner Steven Fell.

"He has been a terrific horse so far with a third on debut then two second's and now two win's and John and the team deserve a lot of credit for that."

Alot Like Home is by Home On The Grange is out of the Beautiful Crown mare, Crownalot.

"We've got Crownalot back at the farm (Oxley Island Thoroughbreds) and she has a weanling filly by Polarmore so we will be looking forward to seeing her come through and the mare wasn't covered last season," added Fell.
