Danesis - Danehill x Sister Dot by Secretariat

Danesis is a magnificent looking son of sire of sire's, Danehill. Danehill's successful sons at stud include current powerhouse's: Redoute's Choice, Fastnet Rock and Exceed And Excel as well as champions such as Danehill Dancer, Flying Spur, Danzero and many more.

Danesis is out of the Secretairiat mare, Sister Dot. Secretariat is of course one of the best horses to have ever graced a racetrack winning the US Triple Crown n 1973. Secretariat is also the sire of the fastest Melbourne Cup winner of all time with Kingston Town in 1990.

Sister Dot is the dam of 11 to race with seven winners including champion racehorse and stallion Dehere. Dehere stood in Australia at Arrowfield Stud and is the sire of Golden Slipper winner Belle Du Jour as well as Defier, Dear Demi and Natural Blitz

Danesis was trained in Hong Kong by champion trainer, Tony Cruz. He started 29 times and won five races from 1600m to 1650m. He raced on both Turf and the All Weather Service at Sha Tin and enjoyed impressive wins on both.

He also raced on gallantly to finish second in the HK Group 3 Premier Handicap on the Turf surface.

Danesis was a top-priced colt at the Hong Kong International Sale in 2006, with the HK$7.5 million price easily eclipsing the old record of HK$6 million set three years earlier. But with every record comes a weight of expectation that this colt, at least, dispensed with easily.
